The Mercy Otis Warren Woman of the Year Award 2017
Tales of Cape Cod will present the 16th Annual Mercy Otis Warren Woman of the Year Award at their June 5th meeting of Tales of Cape Cod. The event is held at the historic Olde Barnstable County Court House, Route 6A, Barnstable.
The award is a marquette of the statue of Mercy Otis Warren which is located on lawn of the Barnstable County Courthouse. The award will be presented to an outstanding woman who meets the following criteria:
- is a resident of Cape Cod and has demonstrated leadership in the Cape Cod community and has made a significant contribution to any of the following: the arts, education, business, community involvement embracing the ideals of patriotism.

The brochure describes criteria for the award, the guidelines for nomination, and gives highlights of the life of Mercy Otis Warren. You can mail in your nomination form or fill out an Online Award Nomination Form and attach your typed description page to the online form.
The recipient of the award will be asked to participate in the 4th of July Parade in Barnstable Village.
